Peak of Koh Kood's High Season

Koh Kood's Weather in December

December marks the peak of high season on Koh Kood and brings the best weather of the year. Temperatures and humidity are at their lowest, and the air feels fresh. In the evenings and especially early mornings, temperatures can occasionally drop below 20 °C.

Days often begin with a layer of cloud, which usually clears around noon, giving way to bright, clear blue skies for the rest of the day.

The wind blows gently from the north to northeast, bringing in cool and dry air. It generally stays mild, though it can pick up at times and may even bring a brief storm toward the end of the year.

Rain is now very rare. If it does occur, it’s usually a brief shower or falls during the night. Downside of that: Lack of clouds for dramatic sunsets.

Waterfalls, while no longer at full strength, are still flowing steadily, and the pools remain deep enough for a refreshing swim.

With low tide at night and high tide around midday, water levels peak, occasionally covering some beaches entirely during high tide.

Sea conditions are excellent—mostly calm to moderately choppy. Water temperatures reach their lowest (sometimes as low as 26 °C), offering the best visibility of the year for diving and snorkeling.
