Weather on Koh Kood in March

The start of the Hot Season

Koh Kood's Weather in March

March marks the beginning of the Hot Season. From now on, it gets hotter and more humid day by day. It’s the last month when temperatures and humidity still feel somewhat bearable. The sun is getting stronger, which brings especially warmer afternoons. With humidity rising at the same time, it starts to feel hotter than it is. Even the evenings begin to stay warm, with less relief after sunset.

Mornings are often cloudy, but by midday, the sun usually breaks through and the sky turns bright blue. A light breeze is common — enough to keep things pleasant without making the sea too choppy.

Rain becomes a little more likely in March. Still, it’s rare — and if it happens, it’s usually short or at night. The upside: a few rainy days can bring the waterfalls back to life. If there’s no rain, expect them to be dry — but still nice for a visit.

With low tide during the day and high tide in the early morning hours, beaches are wide and the water shines in stunning shades of blue and turquoise.

The sea stays friendly. Indeed it's the last month with quiet good conditions. Most days are calm, perfect for diving, snorkelling, kayaking or SUP. Visibility underwater is still good — maybe not as crystal-clear as in January, but still decent.

Island Wisdom

By noon, the sun and heat can get quite strong. Bring a hat, stay hydrated, and find some shade.
