Koh Kood's Weather in June

June is the first month of Koh Kood’s rainy season. While temperatures and humidity are still quite high, the rain and cloud cover make it feel less intense than in May. Still, you’ll be wet in one way or another most of the day — either sticky and sweaty or caught in a shower. Mornings are usually the coolest time of day, with temperatures rising toward the afternoon. Rain, especially in the late afternoon or evening, can bring a welcome drop in temperature later on.

Winds, now often coming from the west or southwest, can be quite strong, and June often sees the first bigger storms of the season.

It’s likely to rain at least once within 24 hours. Showers can be short and intense or last a bit longer, but they’re usually not as heavy. Sometimes the rain comes suddenly — you’ll need to seek shelter, wait it out, and then continue your day. If it rains at night, chances are good for a sunny day to follow. Still, June often brings cloud cover, with only a few bright days in between.

Waterfalls are full — but not yet overflowing — and perfect for a break from the heat, if it’s not raining.

Low Tide comes in the morning and High Tide in the late evening or at night, so beaches are wide and beautiful throughout the day. By now, every beach has its own small klong (a little river) flowing into the sea.

Depending on the wind, sea conditions can be calm or rough, with bigger waves and rough conditions. Visibility is usually poor to okay, but improves after a few calm days.
